hello everyone!

It means the world that you’re following along with my story! If you’re unfamiliar with the World Race, check out my previous posts for the what and why of this trip 🙂 In seven weeks, I will fly to Atlanta, Georgia for a couple days of training camp before we head to Nicoya, Costa Rica.

Most details about the actual trip are released about a month in advance, which means that right now I am working on fundraising, packing, and realizing just how little Spanish I know! When we do arrive, I will be staying with a host family and helping with local church ministries like Bible studies, outreaches, and hopefully some manual labor, because I love a good house project!

From the moment that I applied for this trip back in September to now, I could not have told you the things that God would do and change in my life and heart, and the timing of this trip feels so perfect. Right now, a verse from Psalm 131 replays in my life,

“But I have calmed and quieted my soul.”

I feel ready to launch and do so many things, but these past couple months have been all about slowing down the rhythms of my life and taking time to spend with people, practice things that I love, and learn about the way that Jesus thinking is so backwards from mine, the worlds, and even the Church’s sometimes.

I post blogs monthly, so don’t worry about a flooded inbox, but I am always willing to get coffee or make time for a phone call to connect more with each of you! Alsoooo I am more than halfway to my financial goal and I am SO thankful to everyone who has already given, and would be SO thankful to anyone who still feels led to give any amount!

Donations of sunscreen or floppy tourist hats are also welcome :))

Thanks for reading!
